Domaine Anne Gros
Anne Gros joined her father François in 1988 and took full charge of the domaine 1995. Anne and her daughter Julie, who works closely alongside her, are among the major players in Burgundy. The wines are supremely stylish, highly sought-after and require time in the cellar to reach their full potential.
All the wines are aged in around 1/3 new oak and are entirely de-stemmed. They have become more elegant and perhaps expressive in recent years with great purity with incredible poise. They are characterised by their intoxicating perfume and supple, fluid textures.
Anne practises organic and biodynamic viticulture and has done so for the last 15 years but is not interested in seeking certification as she feels it would restrict her freedom with her work.
The family also has a winery in the Minervois in the south of France where special terroir, very old vines and a Burgundian approach to winemaking make for a winning combination.
